Tartar and scaling, What is the frequency cleaning?

The scaling is done by the dental surgeon who performs the removal of tartar or manually in the 'scratch' using instruments called curettes or by using an ultrasonic (both techniques can be complementary). The scaling ends with a polishing surface and dental cleaned with brush mounted on a rotating and impregnated a paste polish. Cleaning frequency is related to certain factors that predispose to the rapid formation of tartar, it varies from one individual to another. These factors are: the effectiveness of brushing, the quality of microbes in the mouth (some microbes promote more rapid development of bacterial plaque therefore tartar), the tooth surface (an uneven surface or with paths marked retains more easily the plate) and the presence of teeth malpositin (which makes brushing more difficult). It is recommended to achieve a scaling at least once a year during the inspection visit with his dentist.
